Custom – Import/Export Registration
SARS’s customs division plays an integral role in facilitating the movement of goods and people entering or exiting the borders of the Republic.
Import and Export Registration in South Africa Requires:
SARS requires any Business or Person that Imports or Export goods to be registered for a Customs code. Please enquire for more information about limits and exclusions.
Be Aware
No person may import goods into, or export goods from, the Republic of South Africa unless that person, except a traveler, is registered as an importer or exporter; and is represented by a registered agent, in the case of an importer or exporter not located in the Republic.
When Must I Register for a Customs Code as an Importer/Exporter?
Before goods can be imported or exported, SARS may require a person or entity to formally license or register and obtain a customs code number before conducting any activity regulated by the Customs and Excise Act.
Our customs registration fee is R2450.00. You will receive an Import and Export registration confirmation and customs code.
